Two days off due to illness

So I am up in Canada now, flew up yesterday.  I worked from home on Monday and while I was bang on on the diet I didn't exercise.  I was feeling very tired and run down and I just didn't have any energy so I went to bed early.  Yesterday I came up and I felt a little bit worse; a mild sore throat and just general low energy. In the afternoon I was as hungry as I have been in months, my body needed some sustenance.  Unfortunately I had a lot of bad options in front of me as I was at a business event.  I ate poorly and felt pretty cruddy afterwards.  I was in bed and asleep by 9:15.  Today I am feeling a bit better, still a mild sore throat and still mildly low energy but not as bad as yesterday.  I will get my work in though and I will be tight on the diet.  Time to drive.

Did full mat work and 800 rope jumps.  Definitely feeling a bit under the weather still, struggled on the mat work, but good on diet with one exception (ate the biscuit served with my coffee without thinking).  Need to wake up early tomorrow and get the mat work and jump rope done.  Thursdays - my travel day - are always hard.

Better to take it easy and get better fast. Stay on diet, it's all about what you eat!

Yeah, even though I feel a lot better I am still a bit low on energy and I am feeling sluggish.  I did mat work this morning (as I had taken two days off) and while I finished it I really, really struggled on the bicycles and even the rows, which have never been a problem for me.

My head is not in a great place on this one, my body is feeling fat after a number of weeks of feeling good and I am not sure what is going on.  I am hopeful that once this cold-thing clears up I will feel fit again.

Those "feeling fat" episodes are usually followed by some deep fat cuts in my experience.

So as I have whined about incessantly, I travel a lot for work which means that I am subject to the volatile gods of restaurant food. Now.....I think I am doing OK with this - I just had a nice vegetable curry and threw out about half of it and I feel nicely full - but the scale tomorrow morning will be the judge of that. But one area of the diet where I am struggling on a regular basis is the egg requirement. I am being asked to have one whole egg with breakfast and one egg w
